Offering Engaging Activities and Games for Adult Family Homes

marymere falls_edited.jpg

About Me

My name is Amy Peterson and I am the owner of Sound Eldertainment. I bring fun, engaging activities to the residents of Adult Family Homes weekly, bi-weekly or as often as you want. I cater the activities to your residents and have a variety of activities and supplies to keep them entertained.

I have seen first hand how activities can help to keep people's minds and bodies engaged as they grow older.  The sense of community that comes from being engaged in a group activity is an added bonus.

I am licensed through the State of Washington, plus the cities of Kent, Federal Way, Des Moines and Auburn.  I have a current fingerprint background check, current TB test, Food handler's permit, Tax ID Number and I am self insured.

We will play memory games for cognitive learning, have sensory items and do social activities. Ice cream socials, themed parties, birthdays and reminiscing type parties for relationship building have been very well received.

Exercise

I will adapt light exercises to fit residents needs, whether chair exercises, hand ball exercises, and some that emphasize both memory and physical aspects.  It's important to keep them both strong!

What Customers Have To Say

"Very Professional"

"I have known Amy, the owner for many years. I have known her to show an impeccable capability to accommodate the needs of those in her care.  She has shown a great ability to cross many different developmental and physical impairments. She is one of my favorite people to work with."

"Great Service"

Amy has always brought so much joy to my room.  She is able to connect with everyone on an individual basis and I am constantly asked when she is coming back!

"Everyone Included"

"I want to thank you again for coming today and say that I appreciate you working so hard to make sure everyone was included. They are all different and all want/need different kinds of attention. I love the way you approached them and how the visit went today. I'm so happy to have you."
